Things have been a bit tough for us as a family the last few months and I became a bit sorry for myself and grumpy, so I decided the best way to break this is to do something positive for others!

I am giving my hair to The Little Princess Trust who provide real hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment. My vanity will struggle with losing my long hair but it's nothing compared to what those kids are going through!

I am also doing it to raise money for Sign Health whose work is varied but aims to give Deaf people easier access to healthcare and information, as well as providing services which are not provided elsewhere. They are currently doing a lot of work with mental health issues and are working closely with Healthy Minds to provide support in their own language, BSL. 

As someone who suffers with anxiety it is so important to me that Deaf people do not miss out on having support and resources, especially linked to their health, in a way they can fully understand and benefit from!
