Story
As you may know my mum, Brenda Vaughan, lost her battle with cancer on 31 May 2015 in St Luke's Hopsice in Cheshire.
St Luke's cared for mum when she needed it the most. They looked after her and kept her free of pain.
They also looked after me, my dad, my two aunties and my uncle during this terrible time. I remember the nurses talking to me and dad to get us through the first couple of hours and making us toast. They were so very kind.
I hope I can raise some money in my mum's memory and as a thank you to St Luke's for looking after us all with such compassion and kindness.
I will be walking with my two friends, Claire and Jess.
If you attended mum's funeral you will remember Claire as she read mum's eulogy. Claire is also walking in memory of her Nan and Grandad who also lost their lives to cancer.
The walk is 13 miles and details of the event can be found here: http://www.stlukes-hospice.co.uk/events/midnightwalk-neon/
