Story
Hey Guys
Adam here, hopefully I can explain my aim properly with a helping hand from my own personal history, last year, I felt alone and like I meant nothing, I wished and wasted my life away, even tried and failed for which I am forever thankful because it can get better, for some of us at least.
Not every one is so lucky, some people wish everyday to live their lives, yet they are slowly and painfully taken away from us by a silent killer. Cancer.
Just over a year ago, a group of people lifted me off my feet, a charity called School of Hard Knocks that deals with combinations of the unemployed, addicts or ex-convicts three groups that quite often feel failed by society and are failing society at the same time, through social inclusion sport programmes as well as running employment skill classes along side, they give us lifeskills, they give a sense of purpose and pride.
For me this was done through rugby which I love more then any love before it. Rugby then led to me growing a beast of a beard.
During the time since, I've found purpose in work, in development of myself and communities I work in, I have also found myself hit with deaths around me, as well as people I know developing terminal cancer. I want to take the two and combine them, I hope I set this page up correctly and that it works correctly, I want to do something to give back to those who gave so much to me, so that they may give to others and just as importantly I want to help those who can't be given their life back so simply, to at least feel supported, to feel loved.
