Did your parents read to you as a child?  Hopefully the answer is yes, but for a lot of children this is not the case and recent statistics are highlighting the urgent need to focus on literacy standards throughout the UK.

The Harrods VRH team came together to take positive action to assist the Volunteer Reading Help charity in continuing to provide one-to-one support to children who have fallen behind with their reading ability. The results of this can be little short of life-changing as the charity seeks to address literacy problems that can have a serious impact later in life.

The Harrods VRH team are passionate about raising money to enable more and more volunteers to be trained to visit the nation's schools to help children be confident readers for life.
