The LUDF in conjunction with Al Ihsan Trust Sri Lanka is launching their annual Ramadan appeal. Thousands of Muslim families in Sri Lanka live below the poverty line. During this holiest of months, please help us to feed them. We are hoping to provide hampers, which will give them dry provisions to help feed their families during this month. By giving a hamper, you can ensure that some of the world's poorest people receive a nourishing iftaar and suhoor meal for each day of this holy month.

• £25 will feed a typical family of four for 15 days.
• £50 will feed a family for the whole month of Ramadan.
  

Last year we were able to provide 1,200 packs, this year we are hoping to raise enough money to distribute 2,000 packs.

The Prophet (SAW) said: He who gives food for a fasting person to break his fast, he will receive the same reward as him, except that nothing will be reduced from the fasting persons reward.” [Ahmad, at-Tirmidhee, Ibn Maajah, Ibn Hibbaan, Saheeh].
