In today's society 2 woman are killed a week on an average basis by a loved one, and statistics show that 60-70% of these cases are caused by alcohol related problems. In addition to this in over 50% of domestic violence cases children are also being directly abused, while 90% of children will be in the same or next room.

I am raising money to raise awareness that there is help and support out there for woman, blokes and children that have or are at risk of domestic abuse. SAFE charity (Stop Abuse for Everyone) is just one of these services based in Exeter who run support groups and support lines to help woman to understand the effects of abuse on the whole family and to become aware of existing patterns of behaviour.
