Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Gloucestershire Young Carers is a charity that was established in 1993 to give young carers in the county a voice and a network of support.

Young carers are children and young people who have a caring responsibility for a family member with a disability, physical or mental ill health or who is affected by substance misuse.

At present Gloucestershire Young Carers is able to offer support to young carers from 8 to 25 years of age, but has had referrals for children as young as 5.

Many young carers are isolated - unable to enjoy opportunities to take a break from their caring role and many have no one to talk to about their experiences.

Many are overlooked by the agencies that enter their home to help their family member.

The aim is to create a network of support for young carers across the county and to work with young cares to ensure that service providers understand their needs and respond appropriately.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
