Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are currently studying Occupational Therapy and we very recently commenced our third placement with the Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind. SRSB is a fantastic and very unique organisation that relies solely on charitable funding, supporting over 3,300 visually impaired people in Sheffield.
The organisation has been inspiring from both a professional and personal level. We have met people from all ages with different stories, some living with degenerative eye conditions such as 'keratoconus'. Adele's brother was recently diagnosed with this condition and over the past few years has lost his sight significantly. Fortunately he has now been offered reconstructive eye surgery and the future of his sight is now looking very bright!
SRSB provide a service to promote independence and well being amongst individuals with visual impairment of all ages and backgrounds. This is why we have decided to to jump out of a plane 15,000ft (highest jump in the UK) with a hope of raising some money to enable this invaluable support to continue.
All donations are greatly appreciated. A small portion will fund the sky dive, the rest will go straight to SRSB.
Thank you,
Love Dels and Hels xxx
