Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

OK! So, the holiday involved some walking in preparation for the summer holiday and it didn't kill me.

I'm going to be walking the Ceredigion costal Path from Cardigan to Aberystwyth with my dear friend Rhian Williams :)

It is 70 miles. Granted this isn't walking the Great Wall of China and its not that far but we are ladies of a certain age and if I annoy her she might push me off a cliff.

But it is something and I've been thinking about seeing if I can raise some money while I do it. I've thought long and hard and I would like to do it for the Forces Children's Trust. If you don't know about these people they are an amazing bunch who do things for children who have lost a parent in the Armed Forces and they are led by the every lovely Denny Wise

Every year they have a Christmas party and we get to see a show. They also run holidays and day trips and counselling sessions for the kids. This year Alex is doing another outward bound course with them and next year he is getting the chance to go hiking in the Himalayas. Both of my children have been helped immeasurably by this organisation And have made friends who really do understand what they have gone through.

I was torn between this amazing organisation and our local hospice but the FCT are an amazing group and not a lot of people know about it. So I've come up with a compromise. I will match donations made to the FCT to the hospice up to my first target of 200 quid.

If you can find a few pennies to support me I would be so happy! Thanks xxxx
