I have recently become a trustee of Chailey Heritage Foundation (CHF) who provide education and support for children and young people aged 3 to 25 with complex physical disabilities and health needs. Currently there are 81 pupils (42 residential) at the school, 18 young adults in the transition service and 126 accessing our life skills centre each week. It is situated close to our home in Sussex but accepts young people from many areas of the country and is nationally known for the very important work it does with these very vulnerable young people and their families.

CHF have recently launched an appeal for  the D.R.E.A.M*. Centre, a modern, purpose-built indoor recreation and therapy facility to allow the young people (all of whom use wheelchairs), to play indoor sport, take part in drama and musical performances, develop physical skills through soft play and experience a 4D immersive experience zone to broaden their horizons. The appeal target is £2.6 m and around half of this has already been raised or pledged.

So, I would like to raise some money towards this appeal from my small efforts in running my third half-marathon and I would be so grateful for your support.
