Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The tragic loss of my brother in law Stevie has inspired many of the Graham family and friends to raise money for two charities. One of these is the Rainbow Centre in Sri Lanka. This incredible fundraising so far, has enabled a new classroom to be built at the school. In addition we've been able to fund a generator and provide solar powered, constant, hot water. I was privileged this November to attend the opening ceremony of the Stevie Graham Classroom and to meet the staff and children who so greatly appreciate the support. The extreme poverty of the children's homes was a stark contrast to the centre, which is so much more than a school, it's safe haven where the children receive meals, clean clothing, medical care and adults who care for their wellbeing. It's a cause that I feel proud to be part of.

I had planned to do this last year with my friend Asta but when I pulled out, thankfully she went ahead and did it anyway, raising a huge amount of money for the centre. I also feel the need to thank Ellie here who shaved her head to raise money!  You and all the other fundraising family and friends have inspired me to do something too.

My target is to run two marathons in three months. The first here in Muscat on 29th January  and the second in London on 24th March. I'll be aiming for new PB and will keep you updated along the way.

Thank-you for your donations.
