Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some people call it brave the shave; but I don't feel brave, so I am choosing to lose my hair while it still has it's natural colour. I have been growing it long enough to donate locks to the Little Princess Trust to make a wig for a child undergoing chemotherapy for cancer.
Also, as there is no dedicated Childrens' Hospice on the Isle of Wight, local children have had to endure a long ferry trip to use hospice services on the mainland. Therefore I am hoping to raise money for Kissypuppy - the Sophie Rolf Trust (Please take a look at their Facebook page for Sophie Rolf's story)
The trust has joined forces with the local Earl Mountbatten Hospice and the NHS to help support and develop services on the Island for children and young people, and their families, with life shortening conditions. Over a period of time a range of services will be developed offering flexible, individualised care and support, in the place of choice, built around the unique needs of each family. Services will be coordinated centrally, and delivered by a multi-professional team, working together with each family to support their wishes and care choices.
The Trust was founded by Sophie Rolf's family, and it's first project was to provide an area within the existing hospice building that will be suitable for use by children and their families. The area was to provide the equipment needed to fulfil the medical requirements of the individual whilst at the same time recognise the needs of the family as a whole.
I am just losing some hair, and I am asking you please to lose some cash for a really good cause. To all my friends and family don't pay to send me a Christmas card, please put your stamp money towards this cause.
Thank you so very much.
