I am attempting to raise £30,000 for The James Hopkins Trust in celebration of my 30th Birthday.

The James Hopkins Trust provide practical help and support for families with children who have severe disability, life threatening or life limiting conditions.

They provide nursing respite care in the families home and at their specialist daycare centre in Gloucester. They help families with specialist equipment for the child. They also provide financial assistance to families who may need to travel outside of Gloucestershire for specialist hospital appointments.

£30,000 will provide any of the following:

* Respite care for a year for 12 children in the community

* 10 respite sessions in their Respite Centre every week for a year

* 2,260 hours of respite

* 188 hours of respite each month for a year

* Full time equivalent of 1.16 Nurses

As you can see the £30,000 would make a huge difference to many families in the Gloucestershire area.
