At 90… Why Wouldn’t I?
Greetings to friends new and much, much older!
You may remember that in 2012 I tandem jumped 10,000 feet over Salisbury Plain to mark my 88th year and so many of you sponsored me incredibly generously. Thank you again for the way you showed me great kindness then.
I continue to volunteer for About Face, the Dorset based head and neck cancer support charity and I do so because they have supported me over many years and my challenges with skin cancer (no some 15 years) – and I’m pleased to say that I’m still here to tell the tale! The care and attention the charity offers is the very thing many people, who are much more affected than I, have come to cherish especially in their darker moments.
I’m a particularly significant age in December 2014 – some people tell me – and my GP has agreed that I can take part in a 15,000 feet skydive early in that month (sanity excepted).
I’d like to raise £4,000 in sponsorship with my initial freefall of over 30 seconds before the ‘chute opens, and if you feel agreeable that you could sponsor my tandem descent, I would be honoured to ensure I complete the skydive for this incredible small charity.

If any friend was thinking of sending me a birthday present, please support my adventure for charity instead by making a cheque out to About Face and send it to me, or see my Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/HelenQWoolf.
I hope to slip out of the aircraft in early December 2014.
May I wish you a healthy autumn. If anyone wishes to join me on the day - you are most welcome.
See you on the ground! - And I promise not to do a 100th birthday jump ...
