Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Divine Onkar Mission (DOM) is a non religious, UK based charity established in 1991, with an aim to help India’s poorest people, living in Jharkhand and Orissa. With the help of generous donors and sponsors DOM has been able to establish hospitals, schools and an orphanage for destitute communities. Other projects include agriculture and vocational training, water well projects, clothes distribution and food kitchens. DOM's emergency relief efforts provide immediate aid to victims of natural disasters. The charity has worked tirelessly for over the last 20 years to raise funds and positively impact the lives of thousands of people. DOM constantly aspires to tackle poverty and to empower communities to
“help the helpless help themselves”
Palana Project
In July 2012 DOM started the Palana project in Ramgarh. The charity now accepts abandoned infants, who are mostly newly born female children. In India female foeticide is extremely prevalent over 10,000,000 female foetus have been aborted to date in India (www.independent.co.uk) With your generous donations DOM are doing what they can to save baby girls from a certain death.
Why Abandon girls that give birth to Saints, Kings and All.
Solar Panel Project
DOM has established a number of orphanages and schools in several regions such as Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa, these are the poorest states of India. The complex in Ramgar comprises of a school, orphanage and hospital. We wish to have solar panels installed to power the entire complex providing light and heat, a gift for life.
I am doing a Wingwalk to raise Awareness of the charity and its many projects and causes and a Skydive to raise Funds for the above two projects (Palana Project target £10,000 and Solar Panel Project target £40,000 a total of £50,000). Kindly sponsor me by making a donation for the charitable projects.
Thank you for your time and support, most appreciated.
Kindly tell all your friends and family and help raise funds.
God Bless You All (Sarbath da pulla!)
