Story
Hi everyone!
In early June (hopefully the 10th!) I will be shaving my head for Leaf. The usable part of my hair (approximately 30cm - I've measured it!) will be donated to the Little Princess Trust, a charity providing real hair wigs to children in the UK, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
The tufty parts of hair left on my head after the big chop will be completely shaved off and the money raised will be donated to Leaf charity.
Leaf is a charity that helps young people and adults with blood cancer living in Dorset/Hampshire, who are currently receiving treatment or who have needs since being discharged from hospital.
A small snippet of what Leaf does includes providing holidays to Center Parcs for patients and their families, providing hotel breaks and providing help at home; whether that be cleaning, shopping, transport or walking the dog etc etc. Leaf even has its very own, wonderfully-sounding choir!
The last thing that children undergoing cancer treatment need is to feel self-conscious due to hair loss. Children need normality at this time in their life and deserve to feel gorgeous and confident. This is why I will be donating all my hair.
