Story
In 2015, I set my goal to run my 1st ever Marathon. The London Marathon is a challenging 26.2 miles. I am told that the extra 0.2 miles will make or break me and will have to mentally prepare for that!
I have always been passionate about helping underprivileged children and orphans - In my quest to take on this challenge I am supporting One Cause, a charity that supports underprivileged children (and communities) in India and Uganda. Their key route to helping the children and their families is through Education.
The charity slogan speaks for itself: Education is the answer to poverty!
The charity has been set-up and managed by young motivated individuals. They believe in providing true value to donors for their donations by closely project managing all the projects ensuring there is no wastage, and creating a long term sustainable environment. Further details on the charity can be found at www.onecauseuk.org
Putting myself through an insane routine in the build up to run the Marathon includes training at least 4 times/week with waking up at 6am every Sunday for my long run, come rain or snow. Also, believe it or not I have reduced my level of alcohol intake by over 90% (those of you that know that I love to party will agree that this is a challenge on its own).
So here's the deal. I'll do the hard work by training for the next 3 months, sweating, holding back tears and nursing those blisters! YOU have the easier role of making a donation.
Many thanks for your kind generosity and best wishes
