Story
Hello, and thanks for stopping by my JustGiving page! Hopefully you're here to donate a few pennies! If you're not quite sure you want to, let me tell you why you should...
A few months ago, I set myself a personal challenge to get fitter and lose a few pounds (not the monetary kind like hopefully you'll do by donating). The problem is, I've been finding it really hard to stay motivated.
So, what better way to give myself a kick up the bum than to sign up for The Great North Run!
Now, given I usually won't even run for a bus, this is a pretty big deal to me! But what's more important (and why we're here) is that I'm also doing it to raise money for a fantastic charity, the Susan Channon Breast Cancer Trust.
The charity aims to enable the people who deliver care for breast cancer patients right here in the North East to access the most up to date and cutting edge technologies in the research and treatment of breast cancer. This means doctors, nurses and other health care professionals can attend professional training courses and international conferences to bring back the latest knowledge, expertise and best clinical practice to the region.
As a small charity, relying entirely on voluntary donations the Susan Channon Breast Cancer Trust ensures that 98% of funds go directly towards helping improve breast cancer care in the North East.
So, dig deep and donate or just share what you can spare, every little really does help!
