Story

This year marks the 30th anniversary since 56 football fans tragically lost their lives in the Bradford City Fire. 54 Bradford City fans and 2 from their opponents that day, Lincoln City never returned home from what should have been a day of celebration for the West Yorkshire club.

The anniversary will be marked throughout the Football League and Premier League on the 25th / 26th of April.

Huddersfield Town face Blackburn at their home ground that day, and as a mark of respect to our local neighbours and rivals, we will display a large banner in honour of the victims. We have already had a number of people commit to assist in the purchase of the banner, but in addition we would like to raise as much money as possible to go to the Burns Unit at Bradford University which was set up in the wake of the Bradford Fire.

Any donation to this worthwhile cause would be greatly appreciated.
