Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are raising money for the Intensive Care Unit at Warrington Hospital to buy their own Nova Lung machine

They had to borrow one from another hospital last August 2011 and without that machine my Dad, Dave Booth, wouldn't have survived the night, so they need to buy one for the department so others can get a better chance because borrowing one is not always an option.

Sadly my Dad lost his fight against an aggressive rare form of Vasculitis: Wegener’s Granulomatosis on 1 September after 5 weeks in the hospital, 4 of which were spent in an induced coma in the ICU where he was treated by a number of amazing staff and this Nova Lung gave us a precious extra couple of weeks by his side and also extra time so that the doctors got their diagnosis.

They worked so hard on my dad that we want to do everything we can to help them and to give others a fighting chance too.
