Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Nearly a year ago my daughter Fiona lost the last of her many battles with Bipolar disorder. In memory of Fiona I intend to raise funds for her fellow suffers by completing a 2 mile swim in Loch Lomond on the 27th of August.
I would be grateful if you would help me in raising funds for Bipolar Scotland Glasgow branch. We want to support this charity to enable others to gain the help and healing they need.
One in four people will suffer mental illness in Scotland at some point in their lives. Some of you will have had an experience with depression, whether it be someone you know or love, or a personal battle. We are all aware of the stigma that is attached to mental health illness and I hope any money raised will support those who fight the condition daily.
The funds raised will go directly to supporting other suffers of this illness who attend the Glasgow self-help group. This service provides the opportunity for people who feel alone to come together, offer support, guidance and develop friendships.
