Dame in a Plane, 6 February 2017
2016 marks the Diamond Jubilee of Leicester Animal Aid and to celebrate we would love to invite our supporters to come up with 60 ways to raise £60. This can be as weird and wacky as you make it!

Story

Leicester Animal Aid has been rescuing and rehoming cats and dogs for 60 years and this is all possible through the generosity of its supporters. No money is received from the Government or National Lottery.

If you want to donate by text please text DAME60 with the amount to number 70070.

We have two cats from Leicester Animal Aid, Max a lovely ginger and white and Emmy a very lively Tabby both from kittens and now they are nine years old.

To get the 60th birthday celebrations off the ground, I wanted to do something just a little bit crazy to raise some money for such a worthwhile charity - so hence Dame in a Plane was born!!

I seem to have agreed to be bounced around in a micro light flight dressed in full panto dame gear. I suppose the frock might act as a parachute if I need to bail out!

This event would not have been possible without the incredible generosity of local businessman, Kevan Kirby, a long time supporter and recently appointed trustee of Leicester Animal Aid for donating the flight and piloting the plane. We'll be flying in February when the weather is right.

Please donate generously - I promise to supply photo evidence at the very least that they did manage to get me in the plane, and I'll try to get video evidence too!
