Story
In 2016, Saddington Snr. and Jnr. are turning 60 and 30 respectively. To mark the occasion, we made the classic pub based decision to do the 1,000 mile Lands End John O'Groats cycle... with a few twists.
As part of the planning, we quickly decided to put our 90-years of collective wisdom to good use; by raising money for Changing Faces - an incredible charity dedicated to helping people who have a disfigurement find a way to live the lives they want.
The Charity:
Changing Faces works tirelessly to change the lives of people living with disfigurements, but also to change the minds of those living around them; re-framing disfigurement, addressing unconscious bias and behaviours and rejecting cultural stigmas.
The money we raise will go directly to the Yorkshire & Humber Centre in Sheffield - to support their specially trained practitioners deliver empowering services for children and adults with disfigurements - giving them the skills they need to live an active life in today's appearance-focused society.

The Challenge:
Lands End John O'Groats (or the 'Tour of 90') - the twist is a re-routing through Snowdonia, a leg through Ireland and a ferry to the West Coast of Scotland to take in 200 miles of rugged island hopping. Total distance covered on bikes is 1,013 miles (not including Ferries...!)
The Warm-Up:
Saddington Snr. is taking on a 12 stage 900 mile ride through France and the Pyrenees in June. Saddington Jnr. is doing Iron May 70.3 in Norway in June. We'll provide updates for these 'warm-ups' and the warm-ups for those warm-ups - even if its just to say we survived...
