We invest in advanced hospital facilities to save and improve lives

Story

In August 2016 I am taking part in ‘Tour De Frimley’, where I will be cycling nearly 1,000 kilometres over 7 days from Frimley in Surrey to the Battlefields of France.

Tour De Frimley is being organised to raise much needed funds for the Breast Care Appeal at Frimley Park Hospital. The Breast Care Appeal aims to raise £750,000 to provide the latest 3D mammography imaging equipment as well as other vital diagnostic equipment which will help myself, and the breast care team at Frimley to diagnose cancer earlier. The hospital are then matching the fundraising to provide a new, dedicated breast care unit which will provide more personal and dignified care for the 6,000 individuals who visit the unit each year.

A team of 5 Officers/SNCOs and soldiers from A Company 3PWRR are with us and supporting the ride and training.

New diagnoses of breast cancer in Frimley are even higher than the national average, so the need for such a unit is truly pressing.

We are tantalisingly close to our ambitious target and with our cycling and your generous sponsorship we will bust it !.
