Hello there,
I'm travelling to complete one of the World Marathons (in a series of six) - Tokyo Japan.
26.2 miles is painful on the body and mind. Emotionally it can leave you in tatters, physically it's one of the toughest tests on the body and February in Tokyo is colder than the UK at the same time but it's nothing compared to the pain suffered by families who will benefit from this challenge.
The Leicester Hospitals Charity are raising money to improve the quality of their bereavement rooms used by families who have suffered a still born baby through their Baby Loss Appeal.
It's a service we all wish we wouldn't have to use but unfortunetly not every child is born alive let alone healthy.
Time to grieve, often with the still born child in the room, is key to the grieving process and we want to improve the quality of the facilities in this unit as a small token to help that process.
I'm passionate about this charity and our local hospitals. I'm from Leicester and very proud of this part of the world and the incredible services our hospitals offer. Please support me and in turn the charity and families who have a lifetime of suffering.
Please donate. Please.
Thank you,
Ian
