Story
After losing my brother in April after a long and hard battle with depression my family and I decided to take a stand for mental health, to kick the stigma surrounding it and to raise much needed funds for a charity that does so much to help those in crisis, and who also have provided us with support with our loss through bereavement counselling.
My Family and I have decided to take on the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge this coming September. It's an extremely challenging thing for us to do having no previous walking/mountain experience. We will be tackling the 3 biggest mountains in Yorkshire in 12 hours. It will be over 25 miles of uphill climbing in total.
We wanted to do something challenging and give ourselves a goal to work towards and so our training for this event started before we even signed up. We are very determined to make a difference and help this charity in their efforts to support as many people in crisis as possible. Due to lack of funding and support within the NHS many people rely on charities such as this in their time of need. Please dig deep and help us to kick mental health's ass!
In loving memory of Daniel Saxby - we will never stop fighting for you.
