Story
Ahead of the FIFA World Cup, 240 street children from across the world will come together in Rio de Janeiro to play football and have their voices heard at a unique international conference.
The aim is to put the spotlights on these children, show the world their potential, change the image of 'street children', and move towards a global agreement that they should receive the same protection and basic human rights that all children are entitled to!
At this Street Child World Cup, I will take part as a Medical and Child Protection volunteer from 26 March until 7 April 2014.
I will pay for my own flight and accommodation, but I want to raise money for at least four street children to participate in this fantastic event which can change the future of these street children forever.
This Street Child World Cup is more than a game. The legacy will be lots of financial and political support for the local street child charities across the world.
I am so excited about this charity. I really believe together we can make a change. Please join me on the Road to Rio and make it happen through your donation!
