Story
When Martin and I were at our lowest after he was diagnosed with incurable cancer we were told of the cavendish cancer care which are self funding. At first Martin was reluctant to go, but when we did, they gave us so much support and free therapy treatments, we actually looked forward to going because we always felt a lot better afterwards. Because of this we wanted to give something back, so we renewed our wedding vows after 38yrs of marriage and asked everyone to donate instead of buying gifts. We had a wonderful day with all the people we loved and we raised £700. Martin lived for 2yrs after that, which was wonderful but dreadfull at the same time. So I've decided to have a memorial charity night, hopefully every year if it's a sucess, at Treeton Miners Welfare Club. Pie, peas and gateaux, £10 adults £5 children on 28th March, so if anyone is interested in coming can you give me a ring on 07841626756. If you can't make it, donations to this site would be welcome, thanks to everyone for your support. Jean
