I am a Manchester resident passionate about helping the needy. Have been to
Iraq, seen the conditions people live in. I believe help and intervention
for the refugees should be at the point of origin as it is far more meaningful &
effective. The small we do all adds up to change lives.
I am taking a convoy to visit orphanages in Iraq. There are over
3/4 million orphans in Iraq. This number is increasing rapidly due the onslaught by Daesh who have killed and massacred thousands of young
peaceful Iraqis.
It requires £4 a day to sustain an orphan for their
education and basic living expenses.
I believe aid at the point of origin and an education for those children
who have nothing left, are the most powerful ways of intervening in
this humanitarian crisis.
I care about this cause as these are some of the poorest and most
destitue of people in the world. Kids have seen a lot of trauma at such a
young age. Women and girls are being sold in markets as slaves. This is
barbaric. It needs to stop.
I will be visiting Iraq from the 27th of November to 8th of December.
I will be personally visiting the refugee camps orphanages and taking aid.
I will be distributing gifts to bring happiness to the poor orphans.
I wil be posting regular updates of my trip and pictures of how the aid is given out.
