Over the next 9 months Rhys & Sam will be taking part in a number of events such as Half Marathons, Open Water Swims, 100 mile challenges on the bike, and Triathlons at various distances to ensure that we are ready to take on Ironman Wales on September 18th 2016.. Not forgetting the fact that we will be training 6 days a week before and after work!

The Ironman consists of a 2.4 mile sea swim, 112 miles on the bike and a marathon...back to back and in under 17 hours! Take a look at the short video in the photos section to see what its all about.

To sum up our previous experience in triathlon....

Rhys has no background in triathlon and didn't even own a bike up until last month and can barely swim... but.. he has completed 3 Half Marathons and a couple of 10k runs.

Sam has taken part in Triathlons in the past, completed a Half Marathon and also cycled 2,500 miles around the country in 25 days.

Deafness Support Network (DSN) are a fantastic local charity based in Northwich, Chester & Macclesfield and are the service provider for D/deaf people across Cheshire and the surrounding areas.

DSN support individuals who are Deaf, Deafened, Hard of Hearing, Deafblind and are also currently researching into Deafness & Dementia.
