Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. As some of you may know my dad died of pancreatic cancer in March of 2005. It was a massively difficult time for us as a family especially as everything happened so quickly. This is one of the worst things that will ever happen in my life. I have always planned to run the London Marathon, but realised I had to wait until I was eighteen. I will use my drive and determination to take something positive out of this and in doing so try to raise money for a cause that literally means everything to me. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal cancers, but also the least funded. In this way by acting together we can make a difference to this special cause.
I have been training as hard as I can over the last few months and am excited by this challenge. Thanks for all the support of friends and family. Please please please help me to reach my target.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Ralph Bates Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Cancer will touch most of our lives if it already has not. Together we can make a difference.
Many thanks
