Jo and I have been running together for the last few years and this year we have set ourselves the huge challenge of running the Tiree Ultra Marathon, 35 miles around the coastline of our our beautiful island. This will not be easy  as we have never run anything like it before but we are well underway with our training and hoping to give it our best shot! As it is such a challenge we wanted to use the opportunity to raise funds for an important cause and STAR for Harris was one that we both felt would be a great charity to run for.

After the heartbreaking loss of their beautiful boy, Harris, Tanya and Allan felt compelled to raise awareness of childhood cancer and started this charity in his name. They work tirelessly to support others going through treatment, providing music therapy, isolation gift sets, funding research as well as supplying toys and art resources to the oncology ward. Their latest project is to raise money for a playroom, balcony garden and family area at Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital for oncology patients. If we were able to raise just a small amount towards this it would be great to do so.
