Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowl Disease that affect over 300,000 people in the UK alone. Not many people understand IBD - it is a largely hidden disease, and one that causes stigma, fear and isolation for those who live with it. It is thought that many people with the condition go undiagnosed and suffer in silence. Crohn’s and Colitis UK are the UK’s leading charity in the fight against Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
Jo has suffered with Crohn’s Disease since Tom and her have been together and we have close friends who suffer from IBD, so we decided that we not only wanted to raise money for Crohn’s and Colitis UK but also raise awareness of what is an awful, debilitating disease for which there is no cure.
We will be supported and joined by friends and family, who we are very much grateful to for all of their assistance. Anybody who wishes to join us for stages of certain races or to cheer us on are very welcome.
Your donations, support and sharing to raise awareness are all greatly appreciated!
