In memory of Danny Bennett

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Our son Danny Bennett was born asleep on the 1st August 2013 at Crosshouse hospital.  Danny was our second son and James's first brother.  The grief of losing Danny will never pass however we gain comfort from the memories we have from the short period we were able to spend with him.  Thanks to a cold cot provided by the neo natal unit we were able to spend a night with our little boy where we were able to hold him and love him for a little longer.

Clare and I are fortunate to have memories of Danny that we can cherish but we also came to realize that if anyone else was in the same position as us on that day that they would not have been as fortunate.  Crosshouse only has one cold cot so in memory of Danny I am hoping, along with my team, to complete the total warrior event down in the Lake District which is deemed one of the toughest 10 mile obstacle courses in the world (http://www.totalwarrior.co.uk/).  We hope to raise enough money to buy another cold cot to ensure that no one misses out on the precious time they have with their sleeping angels.

Thanks again for visiting our page and kindly making a donation in Danny's memory and helping to give other families the chance to have the memories we hold in our hearts.
