Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Grandad was a big West Ham supporter, he was diagnosed with Diabetes before he passed away several years ago and a subsequent side effect of this was poor sight. He was later registered blind.
British Blind Sport is a small charity who uses their donations to enable blind and partially sighted people to have the same opportunities as sighted people to access and enjoy sport and recreational activities in the UK.
They are widely unrecognised and so they would appreciate as much support as possible to spread the word.
In order to do this I will be running the London Marathon on 24th April 2016 to raise £1500 in donations for this charity. From giving to charity in the past, I understand that any donation will make a significant difference to BBS, so please do not feel that a minimal amount will not help, because it will! Please donate what you can afford.
Many of you who know me will already know that i occasionally play 6 a-side football, however 26.2 miles is currently around 26 miles longer than I can possibly run without stopping. So this will certainly be a challenge for me which I will be looking forward to achieving.
I will be regularly updating this page with my progress along the way, in the meantime, i would very much appreciate anybody of who spread the word, to do so.
All donations would be greatly appreciated and in return you will no doubt enjoy seeing me in agony. Feel free to come along on the day for support! I will definitely need it!
Thanks all!
Jack.
