Story
Throughout 2013, I'm going to attempt not one challenge but three! Beginning with the Fan Dance, followed by the Long Drag then finishing with the National Three Peaks Challenge. It will be a great test of grit and determination normally only undertaken by grown men...remember, I'm only 9!
What is the Fan Dance?
The Fan Dance is part of the Fitness and Navigation phase of the SAS selection process. The challenge involves a 24 kilometre long distance trek over the Brecon Beacons of Wales, which I will aim to complete in under 10 hours.
What is the Long Drag?
The Long Drag marks the culmination of the SAS Fitness and Navigation phase, which is completed under 20 hours. The challenge involves a 64 kilometre long distance trek over the Brecon Beacons of Wales, which I will aim to complete over 48 hours, including camping overnight.
What is the National Three Peaks Challenge?
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland within 24 hours. The three peaks are Snowden in Wales, Scafell Pike in England and Ben Nevis in Scotland.
