I have the opportunity to go to Borneo on a 10 week expedition with Raleigh International from June 24 2012. Here I will be living in very basic conditions and helping on community and environmental projects in remote local communities and taking part in remote local communities and taking part in a 14 day trek through the jungle. I got the place after having done a selection residential here in the UK and was picked for the expedition. The £3,000 cost of the expedition is paid by Raleigh International and is part of a scheme to support young people who would otherwise not be able to take part. I do have to fundraise for my flights, kit, and vaccinations which is likely to come to about £1500 and that is where I need your help. I am doing a number of fundraising events, one of which will be a 20 mile trek on Sunday 20 May from Littlehampton Train Station, along the coast to my YMCA hostel in Brighton.
