Story
Nicola will be participating in the Bath Half Marathon 13th March 2016 to raise money for Canterbury Oast Trust who support adults with learning disabilities in Kent and East Sussex.
Nicola only started running last autumn - ostensibly to keep fit, but probably to avoid having to keep Jack company - and has been pounding the roads, streets and paths of the southwest in all weathers since then. Sometimes she even comes home with a smile on her face - the weirdo!
Jack's aunt has Down’s Syndrome and COT have supported her for the last 25 years, providing residential care and giving her opportunities to work, take part in craft activities every week, practice horticulture and much much more. Take a look at
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HCxUXzh3hY and http://www.c-o-t.org.uk for the sort of projects they are involved in.
Jack's Grandparents were founding members of COT in the mid-1980s and were terrifically dedicated fundraisers and volunteers for the trust, notably selling bricks in the rain in Ashford for the bungalow that Jack's aunt now lives in.
Any donation, however small, will be truly appreciated by us and you will be helping COT to buy paints, materials, plants, or to arrange holidays and days out.
