Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I (and a few other folk too) am taking part in Strictly Come Prancing on 24th March 2012 at the town hall in Banchory. This is a fundraising event in aid of Deeside's Forget Me Not Club.
After agreeing to take part (when slightly under the influence of a bottle of Pinot Noir) I was paired up with the lovely Tony - A.K.A. Fred, from Torphins. Together we will be strutting our stuff on the dance floor where we will be performing a quick step. We have been practicing hard and I would be very grateful if you could make a donation (big or small) to this worthy cause.
I have supported this charity ever since my "dearest" Grandpa developed dementia and it is in his memory that I am taking part in the event. Most of you will know or have known someone who has developed this life-changing condition, if so, then you will know how important a group like the Forget Me Not Club is, not only for the person with dementia but for their carers too. The same event last year raised £12,000 and it would be fantastic to make as much again this year.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks very much, Jackie
