Story
My story so far...
In May 2015 I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, which had unfortunately spread to my lymph nodes as well. Following radical surgery in June of last year I have now just completed my second round of chemotherapy, which I received monthly at the Lingen Davies Centre in Shrewsbury.
Although diagnosed as incurable, I am undergoing further tests and awaiting results to determine future treatment, which will also be given at the Lingen Davies Centre.
In the mean time, I intend to make the most of every opportunity I can grab. Therefore this September I am planning to trek to the top of Ben Nevis, with the help of my small but willing motley crew of family (my two very supportive kids) and friends, including my base camp support/medical team.
Words cannot describe how grateful I am for the ongoing care I have received from all staff and consultants at the Lingen Davies Centre. Therefore I cannot think of a better cause than to raise money for their latest appeal (to raise £750,000) in aid of a new Linear Accelerator (a machine used for radiotherapy treatment).
Thank you for taking the time to read about my future adventure, any donations would be greatly appreciated, not just by myself, My family and My friends, but by all those receiving care at the Lingen Davies Centre and their families and friends who are going through the journey with them also.
