Bungay Black Dog Half Marathon, 8 January 2017
We support Norfolk people with disabilities to achieve independence and inclusion

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Having never ran before, let alone in an event - we are proud to announce we're on schedule with our training, taking to the streets in all weather! It has been very challenging especially of late with temperatures below zero but we remain determined and will keep you updated with our training progress as the count down begins and we edge closer to reaching our goal.

Our goal is to complete the Bungay Black Dog Half Marathon to raise much needed money for NANSA (Norfolk & Norwich Scope Association). NANSA is an independent local charity that has to rely heavily on fundraising to provide vital services & specialist equipment for people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.

We are running to raise money for their Springboard Project which did not get funding this year. Springboard is a social and leisure support group for young people with physical / learning disabilities.  A social platform for young adults with disabilities, offering the opportunity to enhance individual and communal life skills, aimed at further transition and comprehension of adulthood and relationship issues with the wider society.

We are also running to help fund NANSA's Sleep Counselling sessions which offers support, advice & training to parents of children with additional needs, and to be able to purchase much needed specialist equipment for our Family and Adult Centres.

We have a lot more fundraising to do to meet our personal target of £400 and are grateful for any donation you can afford to give every little bit counts
