Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) is a very rare neurological condition affecting approximately 1 in 10,000 individuals. It is a progressive disease, early symptoms are typically the occasional stumble, trip or fall but in later years wheelchairs and other mobility aids may be required.

As many of my friends are aware, my dad is affected by HSP.  Some of you will know him and have seen his mobility deteriorate over recent years. Through the HSP charity I have met many other people with this condition, some of whom are of a similar age to myself.

I will be running in the following events over the next few months:

August 14th - Salisbury 5 4 3 2 1 Half Marathon

September 11th - New Forest Half Marathon

October 2nd - Bournemouth Marathon

Funds raised are used to help individuals purchase mobility aids or indeed anything that may improve their quality of life and for research.

I would be very grateful if you could all dig deep for such a great cause or share this amongst your friends to help raise funds and awareness.

With love and many thanks in advance,

Jade
