Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am aiming to complete the 10 mile Yorkshire Warrior course to raise funds for the West Yorkshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre. One of my colleagues suffers with MS and the centre is vital in keeping her symptoms under control so she can carry on with day to day life. It is in dire need of funds to stay open. The hyperbaric chamber is used to treat not only MS sufferers but also cancer patients and therefore it is vital it remains open. The treatment does not receive any NHS funding and patients pay a small fee to use the chamber each time.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Unfortunately, the centre was broken into over the Easter weekend, resulting in damage and the theft of their wheelchair accessible vehicle, so any money raised will be even more crucial at the current time. The centre dos not receive any funding from either the Government of the NHS and it relies entirely on fundraising and donations. The estimated money required for running costs alone is over £130,000 a year!
