Story

I am James and I am a 16 year old with a diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome. I have always been a sporty person but was denied the opportunity to represent my school in sport due to my diagnosis until the opportunity to trial for one of Hampshire's disability cricket teams in January 2014. As a long time cricket fan it was a golden opportunity to start playing proper sport rather than knocking a ball around in the garden. As a result of the coaching sessions I have received since then my cricketing skills have improved a lot. However, the cricketing skills are not the only thing that it has developed. It has taught me to be more tolerant of others and developed my people skills to a level where I now feel confident around most people.

I am raising money for this cause because it has helped me so much not only as a cricketer but as a person in general. Every contribution big or small helps keep everything running to the standard it is at currently and better it's already high standard. This year 2 softball teams and a hardball team as well as a visually impaired team have competed in various competitions at different levels with varying success.
