I believe all dogs deserve a chance to live, and no dog should be caused pain or be sentenced to death simply because of where it was born. Romanian Rescue Appeal (RRA) is a small British charity manned by a team of volunteers who are taking positive action and offering hope to dogs in Romania. They run and fund their own shelter providing safety to over 700 dogs whilst working around the clock to find them suitable forever homes - these dogs have been saved from barbaric dog catchers, public shelters (which are a death sentence) or from living on the streets. RRA are leading by example in both their neutering/vaccination campaigns and by showing respect and compassion towards all dogs throughout Romania.

I have decided to run a half marathon to help raise much needed funds for and awareness of this fantastic charity. I did a 5k about 10 years ago put apart from that have done no running so this is a huge personal challenge! And whilst it seems everyone is fundraising for one cause or another I hope you’ll make a donation if you’re able.
