What are we doing and why?
In 2014 our father sadly passed away after a long battle with illness. His battle was never easy but Dad always had a positive outlook.
Dad always talked about how he wanted to help others who had similar problems and spent many hours researching and understanding his illness. In 2011 amazingly our Mum donated a Kidney to Dad and this gave him a new lease of life. This was a complicated process and procedure and the more money that can be raised to help support people and go towards research the better. The NKF is a wonderful charity that helps support people and their families.
So what are we doing? Between us we plan to do a number of events in 2016. On 13th March James will be doing the Bath Half Marathon. Then on April 2nd James and Katy will be doing a Sky Dive from 10,000ft!!!! On 9th/10th July James will be doing a Golf/Hiking Challenge. This will start with a game of golf very early in the morning, hiking 30 miles in the Lake District....with his clubs....finished off with more walking and another game of golf at Keswick Golf Club the following day. James will be doing the Great North Run on Sunday 11th September and Katy is also going to be entering a Muddy Mayhem later in the year.
Please donate as little or as much as you can, every single donation will mean a lot to us and Mum and will go to help the NKF and the work they do.
Many Thanks
James and Katy
