Hi guys,

I have decided to run my first half marathon dressed in a full size Spongebob costume!

I recently just volunteered as a carer on a Newman Trust holiday in Ampleforth which was simply the best week of my life. The Newman Trust is a voluntary organisation which provides summer holidays for disadvantages children with special needs. It is purely funded through donations therefore desperately needs as much support as possible.

 It was amazing to see these children, many whom had never been on holiday before, thrive and have simply an indescribably amazing holiday.

I cannot express how much of a positive impact this charity has on their lives.

So I am running the half marathon as Spongebob as this was the character who I dressed up as on the holiday and the kids loved it so I thought it was the best costume. It will be a great challenge but I have been inspired by these determined, kind and amazing kids who struggle everyday just to have normal lives. If they can achieve that then I must be able to do this!!!

£800 pays for a child to go on one of these life changing holidays so this is my aim.
