Story
On the 24 April 2016 I will be running the London Marathon for Teens Unite, in conjunction with this and to help with the fund raising I will be working with my students at North Kent College to complete a 48 hour fitness challenge. It is hope that this will raise awareness, much needed funds and develop community spirit.
Our friend Sadie was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in September 2013 and sadly passed away in March last year.
Sadie was a brave, beautiful and inspirational young lady and was one of the most inspiring people we knew - she never stopped being happy & positive even through the toughest of days! Sadie touched the lives of so many and her positive outlook on life and determination is to be admired.
We feel privileged to have known Sadie through her incredible family & through the sadness, we have to take strength from her incredible zest for life, her courage and bravery.
She raised awareness of ovarian cancer and teenage cancer as a whole and was and still is an incredible ambassador for Teens Unite. Sadie's family, Julia, Oliver, Katie, Pip & husband Jason took comfort from knowing that Teens Unite made her difficult journey a little easier along the way and this is all we can hope for with all of the inspirational young people Teens Unite support.
I want to raise as much awareness as I can so Teens like Sadie don't have to go through this alone - Teens Unite make sure you have the right support & gives teens something to look forward to. Therefore, we are running this not only for Sadie but for the charity to help them continue the fantastic work they are doing.
