Story
In April 2010 my auntie started to feel unwell. Unable to care for her 3 boys she headed to the doctor for some advice. She sadly deteriorated quite quickly and was admitted to hospital.
After 11½ months of tests a decision was made that my auntie should undergo a Nuclear PET Scan. Within days she was diagnosed with a very rare auto-immune disease Takayasu Arteritis, affecting the main artery from her heart.
She has the disease for life but fortunately she has Professor Luqmani and his team in Oxford looking after her. They are totally dedicated and extremely caring.
Since being diagnosed she has raised a lot of money for the NOC Appeal so this year I'm giving her a year off fundraising! This is a massive challenge for me but one that I'm determined to accomplish. I really would appreciate your support.
