We fund vital research into neuroblastoma to help children survive this vile cancer

Story

Thanks for visiting. I'm doing this run because after my incident in Marbella, where I was shot 3 times in a case of mistaken identity, I suffered a severely damaged nerve in my left leg, and my left foot no longer moves....yet! It will never be anywhere near the same again, but I COULD get some movement back. I am back training and have been told that to give myself the best chance of getting some recovery, training will really help, so I needed a challenge. When I was lay in hospital, with both my legs in bandages from top to bottom, I told my wife that I would run the Great North Run again one day. This is the 1st step to trying to achieve that. I am a patron for Niamh's Next Step and it is a cause close to my heart. Thanks for taking the time to read. X

Niamh's Next Step was set up in Dec 2012 after we lost our amazing little girl to the childhood cancer, neuroblastoma in May 2012. We very proud to be funding vital research programs into this vile, aggressive childhood cancer but there is so much more to do. Please donate and help save our children
